This June 15, 2024, the Olympic Flame will arrive in Pointe-à-Pitre, aboard a racing multihull, the Maxi Banque Populaire XI, after crossing the Atlantic with a prestigious crew.
The Flame will begin its route on the island at the ACTe Memorial, a cultural and historical site that retraces the painful history of the slave trade and slavery.
This first itinerary leads to the Palais des Sports in Le Gosier.
From there, it's on to Saint-François, to the Pointe des Châteaux, Guadeloupe's most visited site, offering incredible views of the surrounding islands.
The next stops will be in Le Moule, then at the CREPS de Guadeloupe, an establishment of excellence that brings together the region's most promising young athletes. The Flamme Olympique then heads for Petit-Bourg.
It will then head for Saint-Claude and Basse-Terre.
It will also reach the Saintes archipelago before returning to the main island.
Baie-Mahault will welcome the Olympic Flame in the late afternoon. After a walk through Baie-Mahault, the Flamme Olympique will end its journey at the Vélodrome Amédée Detraux.
It is in this stadium, the largest in Guadeloupe, that the cauldron will be lit at the end of the evening.
Among the torchbearers on the Guadeloupe stage will be :

Frédérique Merlin (basketball, lifesaving sports and teacher),

St Barth Commuter just received the ISSA (IATA Standard Safety Assessment) certification issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This assessment of the operational and management control system is an extension of the IOSA certification for aircraft under 5.7t, such as the Cessna Grand Caravan - C208B that we operate.
St Barth Commuter becomes the 12th company in the world and the first European EASA operator to obtain this certification.

This particular aircraft, compared to the ones we already have, is equipped with the latest evolution of software for the on-board avionics. The G1000 Nxi. It brings new features in terms of flight safety and navigation.
The delivery of an aircraft is always a rather heavy and intense process:
- The detailed aircraft examination stage, the ground check, the aircraft inspection, the acceptance flight and the documentary inspection were completed on June 20, 2022
- The closing and signatures were performed on June 21, 2022
Then comes the American registration N3003U for the convoying from Indepenence to Wichita, Wichita to Meridian, Meridian to Fort Lauderdale then Providenciales and finally St Barth. This represents more than 13 hours of flight in several stages over 2 days.
Currently the plane is in the process of being registered in France and we hope to have it online in August 2022.

Thus, 2 mechanics are in apprenticeship since 2020 and 2021.
In addition, our teams have been reinforced and will continue to be reinforced during the school vacation periods for positions such as baggage handlers/ground operations and reservation/administrative services, as well as for internships and summer student jobs.

Flights between Saint-Martin-Juliana or Pointe-à-Pitre are operated by St Barth Commuter, which has five Cessna Grand Caravans, aircraft that offer their passengers the same comfort as a private jet.
Passengers flying to or from St. Barts can check in directly for their final destination: their luggage will automatically be forwarded to that destination.

St Barth Commuter has continually adapted to the rules set in place by the Prefecture and the French government. Our website is regulary refresched as chnages are made to the regulations. A special page dedicated to COVID and its restrictions is updated as needed.
In addition, we are more flexible, making extra effort in terms of reservations (no change fees, flexibility in cancellations, refunds...)
To date, the destinations that we offer remain unchanged. However, we also flown many repatriation flights for foreign clients blocked on various Caribbean islands. We see a notable increase in to the following destinations: St Lucia, Mustique and Dominican Republic.

As Thanksgiving approaches, hotels and restaurants are reopening. This is the case of Carl Gustaf, belonging to the Barrière group, which opened in mid-October with its beach restaurant Le Shellona, followed by the Eden Rock hotel, Cheval Blanc-Isle de France and Le Barthélemy.

on both scheduled and charter flights services.
